Organization at CSUN and other various campuses that works to improve and protect journalism. Founded in 1909 as Sigma Delta Chi, SPJ is dedicated to encourage the free practice of journalism as well as to stimulate high standards of ethical behavior.
SPJ welcomes broadcast, print, web and student journalists to its membership. SPJ promotes the free flow of information vital to a well-informed public; protects First Ammendment guarantees of free speech and a free press; and works to inspire and educate the next generation of journalists.
